If I Were Jesus · letra

If I were hungry and hurting Could I rise and turn to you Would you color me different If my skin was not like you Would you hold me if I was dying Would you need a reason to Keep your faith if we Came face to face If I were Jesus Would you crucify me once again Would you stand by me ‘til the bitter end If I were Jesus Would you deny me would you fear me If you looked me in the eye Would you run out and desert me Would I be someone to despise Without a reason why Would you hear my cries If I were Jesus Would you be the one to give me up Or soothe my thirst and fill my cup If I were Jesus Would you leave me wounded in the dark Would you bury me inside your heart Unlock your chains Climb out of the dark I’ll share your pain Come take my heart If I were Jesus
