The Lighthouse

<p>There is a lighthouse on the hillside<br/>And it overlooks life&#x27;s sea<br/>And when I&#x27;m tossed<br/>You know it sends down a big old light<br/>Well, it&#x27;s a light that I might see<br/>And the light that shines in darkness<br/>Now it&#x27;s gonna safely lead me home<br/>But if it wasn&#x27;t for that old lighthouse<br/>You know, this old ship<br/>It would sail no more<br/><br/>But now everybody that lives around us<br/>All around us<br/>They say tear that old lighthouse down<br/>We all know the big ships<br/>Don&#x27;t sail by this way anymore<br/>Oh, there ain&#x27;t no use<br/>In that old thing standing &#x27;round<br/>Oh, but then my mind, it goes back<br/>To that stormy night<br/>When just in time, thank God I saw the light<br/>Oh, yes, the best thing<br/>About that old lighthouse<br/>It still stands way up there on the hill<br/><br/>I thank God for the lighthouse<br/>I owe my life to Him<br/>For Jesus is the lighthouse<br/>And from the rocks of sin<br/>For He has shown the light around me<br/>That I could clearly see<br/>If it wasn&#x27;t for the lighthouse<br/>Then where would this ship be
