Yeah, y'all dig it. I got the deffest, freshest tale to tell on how Christ saved my soul from hell. We're stepping on the scene when y'all know we're goin' back two thousand years ago. The disciples were on the set, yo the posse was there in full effect. Jesus said, "The day will arrive when the Son of Man will be crucified. But on the third I'll be alive, you'll see, and be back to full capacity." The disciples just stood there shruggin' an' thought, "Our home boy must be buggin'." But when Christ talks you best be chill, He made the wind and the waves stand still. 'Cause the Son of God don't pop no jive. If He said alive, He means alive. Word up, word up, it's fresh, it's fresh, Christ will rise from the dead. Word up, word up, it's fresh, it's fresh, Christ will rise up from the dead. Yeah. Now the Pharisees hated Christ, it's true. They says, "He's just not down with the crew. He talks of love, He's raisin' a fuss, He's leavin' our legalities crushed in the dust. He heals on Sunday and what's more He casts out demons, this dude's hard core. He slams religion, He just won't chill, He's wipin' away the grin on my grill." So they teamed and dreamed and schemed a solution, they plotted out their retribution. They got a plan they thought was sly and they said, "This Christ has got to die." Now Satan was behind the attack 'cause he wanted to be at the top of the stack. But he'd soon learn the truth we've found: You just can't keep a, this good Man down. Yeah. Word up, word up, it's fresh, it's fresh, Christ will rise from the dead. Word up, word up, it's fresh, it's fresh, Christ will rise up from the dead. On a cross of wood they crucified the Lord Jesus Christ. And after He died they put Him in a tomb, gave it a seal. Devil said, "Yo, He's on tilt for real." He felt so crush, he busted a pose. "I'm goin' back to my crib, this case is closed." The disciples sat on the third day poutin', the sun came over the eastern mountain. The earth started rumblin', stone rolled away, great beams of light started to blaze. Devil freaked, he ran in fear. Demons said, "So long, we outta here." Then heaven's choir sang this boast, "Who is the most from coast to coast? Who's King of Kings and Lord Most High? It's Jesus Christ and He is alive!" Word up, word up, it's fresh, it's fresh. Christ has risen from the dead. Oh, word up, word up, it's fresh, it's fresh. Christ has risen, yeah, from the dead.
