Brighter Day · letra

Hey... Whoo!
Everybody's bruised It's been that kind of year Been a little house cleanin' Been a lot of pain and tears But it's no good runnin' away Learn from the hard times, make them pay I'm just sayin' my prayers And lookin' for a brighter day
Yeah, lookin' for a brighter day Don't look down You'll only see the ground Lookin' for a brighter day Got to hit the hard run Keep your face to the sun Babe, it's gonna be okay Sayin' my prayers And lookin' for a brighter day
I was hangin' on the roof By the time the rain clouds dried I was caught up in the flood But I made it to the other side Now my feet are all covered with clay But I know I'm gonna be okay I'm just sayin' my prayers And I'm lookin' for a brighter day Oh, yeah Lookin' for a brighter day Don't look down You'll only see the ground Lookin' for a brighter day Got to hit the hard run Keep your face to the sun Babe, it's gonna be okay Sayin' my prayers And lookin' for a brighter day
Oh, everybody knows It ain't me, sure not you Oh, face that cloudy grey The sun is cuttin' through The sun is cuttin' through, yeah
Well, the good Lord came on down To the world of grief And He put up with our foolish pride And our unbelief We didn't listen to what He'd say But He died for us anyway You know, He took the heat And kept lookin' for a brighter day Oh, yeah Lookin' for a brighter day Don't look down You'll only see the ground Lookin' for a brighter day Got to hit the hard run Keep your face to the sun now
Lookin' for a brighter day Whoo! Whoo! Lookin' for a brighter day Now I'm lookin' for a brighter day Lookin' for a brighter day, yeah, yeah Oh, yeah Brighter day Brighter day
