Almost Home · letra

I've been livin' on Egypt land Been there for some time And then I journey toward Canaan And I left the past behind Though I been to the trials of the wilderness God's grace has kept me strong I just caught a glimpse of the Promised Land I think I'm almost home
I see the Promised Land one more mile I leave my cares behind and rest for a while The family's gath'rin' in for the victory song Well, I can see the Promised Land I'm almost home
I stood on Jordan's bank And watched the swellin' tide I've watched my love was crossed Over to the other side Well, I had this special feeling That it won't be long I just caught a glimpse of the Promised Land I think I'm almost home
I see the Promised Land one more mile I leave my cares behind and rest for a while The family's gath'rin' in for the victory song Well, I can see the Promised Land I'm almost home I see the Promised Land one more mile I leave my cares behind and rest for a while The family's gath'rin' in for the victory song Well, I can see the Promised Land I'm almost home
Well, I can see the Promised Land Well, I'm almost home We're going home
