Holding On (First Love) · letra

Oh, I remember all those younger days, It was so easy then for me to say, "Oh, you are all that I need; I would live and I would die for you," But through the years you know the times I've been untrue, away from you.
Holding on, To my heart you keep... Holding on, Save me from another love coming in between us, Holding on, To my heart you keep... Holding on, And you never leave me. You can turn my heart around, bring me back to my first... Oh.
And now I think of all I've put you through, The broken promises I made to you, You never turn me away, You keep waiting knowing I will see you're the one and only one I'll ever need, eternally.
Holding on, To my heart you keep... You've been holding on, 'Cause you know I need you, Save me from another love coming in between us, Oh, holding on, To my heart you'll be... Holding on. And you never leave me, Oh, you can turn my heart around, You bring me back to my first love.
There will come a day I'll love you that way, always.
To my heart you keep... You've been holding on, I will always need you, Never, never be another love coming in between us, Oh, holding on, To my heart you'll be... I'll be holding on. I will never leave you. I will keep my heart around, Always near to my first... Always here with my first, yeah, Holding on to my first love.
